Mr. Blakemore received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and
Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He had a 27 year career with Union Carbide Corp. in a variety of business management and international marketing postions. Since retiring in 2000, he moved from the New York Metro area to Fort Lauderdale and has had significant involvement in community and charitable organizations which includes three years as president of the Business and Professional Group.
Mr. Nicholls received his Bachelor in Science Degree from Michigan State University and his Master's Degree from the University of Florida where he majored in Economics. His career in Washington, D.C. included positions with the Food and Drug Administration, Planning Research Corporation and The Consumer Product Safety Commission. He has been on the board of T.A,'s since 1996 and was President from 2001-2009.
Dr. Ross received his Bachelor Degree from American University and his Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Maine. Before retiring in 1996, he was in private practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. One of his areas of specialization was in mental health treatment of HIV positive children and adolescents.
Mr. Schwarz received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. He majored in Economics and Psychology and graduated in 1958. He worked for several national companies before spending the last 30 years as a franchisee of McDonald's Corporation. He has been involved with many Local and National Civic and AIDS Organizations over the past years. He retired three years ago and moved to Fort Lauderdale after spending many vacations here over the past years.
Bruce Borger received his degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. He spent his business career working at Borger Steel Co. in York, Pa. Upon his retirement, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, where he spends his time volunteering and giving back to the community.
Shawn received his B.A. in Child Study/Special Education from St. Joseph's College, Brooklyn, NY. He worked 19 years for a New York City Foster Care & Adoption Agency serving as Director of Administrative Services. He has served on the Board of the Lyric Theatre Orchestra in New Jersey. He and his partner, Will Mazza, currently own King's Cup Inc., an office coffee supplier. Shawn currently volunteers screening applications for Tuesday's Angels assistance, and has cycled in the 100% Solution Bike Ride for the past 4 years.
James P. Rainey is a graduate of Fenn College with a degree in accounting. In his 33 year career with IBM Corp., he held a variety of national and international management positions. Upon retirement, Jim volunteered for several Northern Virginia community organizations. He moved to South Florida in 2004 and has served on the board, including the presidency, of his apartment association.
Mr. Richards received his BS and Master's Degree from Tufts University. He worked for many years in Human Resources Management for Thermo Electron Corporation. In the public sector, he managed a Department for the Town of Provincetown and headed a multi-agency task force that created the Provincetown-Truro Shuttle system. He is a retired Navy Captain and held command-at-sea as a Division Commodore. He has served on a number of Boards and Committees. Don resides with his long time partner and spouse, Tom Walsh.
Peter served in the U.S. Foreign Service, retiring in 2000, after being Ambassador to the United Nations, Sri Lanka/Maldives, and for Counter-Terrorism. He teaches international administration at the University of Miami and is a full-time Fort Lauderdale resident.
